The Samaritan Women does not
discriminate based on heritage, ethnicity, religion, or
economic class. We are a
single-gender residential facility for young women, ages 16-21.
We subscribe to Christian values and principles. While
we do make Bible study and Christian counseling services
available to our residents, your daughter is not required
to participate in these offerings and will not be penalized
for non-participation.
Exclusions
This is not a medical, mental health,
or crisis facility. Ours
is transitional residence, complemented by programs and
counseling to support young women in their current programs
of recovery. Our facilities or program cannot support
the following types of clients:
- Physical handicaps which limit
participation or impose structural requirements on
the facility. (Please
note: TSW operates out of historically-protected
estate that must adhere to renovation covenants. Certain
structural accommodations, therefore, cannot be made. We
will be happy to provide you with a referral to another
facility if your child has ambulatory limitations.)
- Severe and/or unmanaged psychiatric disorders
- Intelligence quotient of 80 or lower or a severe
learning disability
- Brain trauma or disease that is irreversible/untreatable
- Medical disease that cannot be controlled and may
pose a threat to the other residents
- Chronic violent behaviors that are incompatible with
group living
- Mothers desiring to live with their infants or small
children
- Any medical condition that requires routine RN, LPN
or other professional care, such as IV infusions, complex
pharmacologic administration or routine administration
of drugs or medications that are not administered PO
or are controlled substances.
Where we cannot provide service, TSW will endeavor to support
the family with a more appropriate referral.
